Advancing with S&P MachinesIn our final level without robotics, the Professional Level, you will start to work on using Legos and combining them with Math and Science formulas to do some calculations. These assignments, while shorter, do require a bit more "showing the work" than you may have had in previous levels. Instead of just observing everything and writing down what you see, you will have to do some calculations and math for some of the quests.

In order to unlock the All-Star Level, you will need to complete at least 5 of the 10 quests listed for the Professional Level. You can also "farm" if you would like to complete all quests and earn experience.
You can make up your own quest if you get it approved before you do it (XP will vary based on what you create)

Directions For Professional
For the Professional Level, we are now going to start to focus on a complete "build your own" type of assignment. While there are a couple assignments you will follow instructions, the final three assignments will require that you come up with a complete design on your own and test it. Here is how you should approach the activities in this level:
- MANDATORY - There are two different sections to this level. You must choose 2 of the 4 "Structured Activities" from below and then choose 3 of the 6 "Open-Ended Quests" from below. Once you complete these required 5 activities, you can do the rest to "farm" experience if you would like. You an also create your own activity to test if you would like.
- First choose the two "Structured Quests" you would like to do. Like the previous levels, first read the Overview to get an idea of what the quest entails.
- Conduct the quest and fill out the answers on the worksheet that corresponds to the quest. Once you are finished with the activity and the student worksheet, have Mr. Hill come talk with you.
- Once you are done, move on and chose your three "Open-Ended Quests." There are no building instructions or worksheet. You simply have to read the Overview and do the task.
- When you have completed the required 5 quests, you then have a choice. If you want to experiment further in this level you can finish the rest of the quests. You can also come up with your own ideas and experiment (XP will vary), but you need to have Mr. Hill approve it first. If you choose not to experiment more at this level, you can move on to the All-Star Level Quests.

Open-ended quests
Remember, for these quests there are no instructions, no directions, no guidance other than a simple question and a task to do. You need to come up with all the direction and thoughts on your own. The entire project should be your own, from start to finish.
As for the Experience Points (XP) for these assignments, they are worth 150. However, please note that a LOT of the XP you will earn on these quests will come from creativity, ingenuity, size, and the "extra effort" you give to make it cool. DO NOT think if you make the most simple, quickest design you can think of to finish as fast as possible that you will earn the maximum XP. Maximum XP will be awarded when I truly see "maximum effort" to complete the quest with your absolute best effort.
